Some believe coffee is bad for you? That's news to Starbucks' chairman
Starbucks chairman Howard Schultz "can talk like a runaway train but he can also be tight-lipped when he wants to be," notes a reporter. "Asked if he could imagine a time when coffee providers would be sued because of potential health problems, in the way tobacco or food suppliers are, he looks astonished. Surely he is aware that some experts argue that coffee is bad for you? 'No.' Discussion closed." SCHULTZ ON THE IRAQ WAR: "I'm sorry, it's not for me to comment on that." (London Guardian)
Can you inform me the bad effects that coffee has on people?

Drinking more than one cup of coffee a day increases the risk of heart
disease, a Greek study shows.
University of Athens and Harokopio University researchers found
drinking more than one cup increased the chances of cardiovascular
inflammation.
They studied 3,000 people and found those who drank more than 200ml
tested higher for a variety of indicators of inflammation.

Actually the problem isnt with the coffee as much as it is with the caffeine. Caffeine does raise your heart rate and blood pressure. Also, (i dont remember the science behind it) but it will actually make you pee more... Which is why people say not to drink soda when excercising. It makes you loose more fluid and you actually dont gain any water. And actually Starbucks policy is that in a single drink we can only put in either 7 or 8 (I can remember which) shots of espresso. Mainly because if someone has a weak heart or high blood pressure it can be a potential health hazzard.

Coffee.. a subject which i am quite familiar with.
Istill prefer my local coffee whihc is made from home grown coffee beans, palm oil and rough sugar. the very roasted flavor gives it a very unique tastein comparison to all our imports. And i can say the caffeine content is a little higher.
However enough of that, the whole argument here is Coffee good or bad for you? is it pottentially harmless or is there away we can curb this issue.

For me coffee is death I have crohns and every time i drink coffee i get the shits so bad, then i get arthritis so bad that i cant get out of bed. this usualy takes 3 days of coffee drinking. I think coffee is extremly bad for health, but it makes people feel so good while drinking it that most will never say its bad for you. If I did not have problems drinking coffee i would drink it every day because it tastes sooooooo fucking gooooood. I like starbucks coffee the best because they have those cute servers with nice little tits working there.

But I'm not addicted anymopre, i dont need anything to wake up, i dont spend loads of money on cups of coffee(some places cost $5 a cup!), i am a lot calmer and i dont have tired lows after coming down from coffee. its great, i recommend quitting coffee.

Hi
Well i'm completing an assignment on starbucks and illycaffe and it's a bit of both.
Drinking coffee is supposed to relieve headaches. It also is healthy for you the stronger it is but only if it is natural, and you don't go overboard. The coffee you get in a coffee shop has a load of additives so that's were the horror stories come from.
Well so i believe, i'll know more near the end of the assignment.

Anyone know about coffee robbing your chi? Read something about it interfering with that and that WHEN you quit you actually feel more connected with yourself? Is that possible? Would be a good reason to quit. Thanks much,
K

Some people would agree that coffee is both good and bad for you. Why would coffee make you less suseptable to parkinsons, diabetes and colon cancer. Well caffein is a stumulant. It keeps the bowels moving and it keeps your body moving. There are two things that have been shown to keep you away from cancer. Deep breathing which keeps the cells oxygenated and muscle movement. Your body is only as healthy as its cells. Lymph is neccesary for your cells to be healthy. Your heart pumps blood throughout you body to send nutients and oxygen to your cells the heart does not move lymph until the lymph is put into the blood stream. The only way to move this throughout your body is by muscle movement. Coffee contains caffein which is a stimulant and makes people generally more active with higher doses, intern moving more lymph throughout the body. Caffein by itself without body movement only constricts the blood vessels. Excercise is the cure for health problems.
