Let the record show that Starbucks stores started playing Christmas music on Monday, November 8 -- almost three weeks before Thanksgiving. In the last two days, I've been at three different Starbucks stores (one in Skokie, IL and two in Evanston) where customers complained -- and angrily. I asked one barista why they're playing the music so early. "Because the corporation told us to," she said. "Call 1-800-STARBUCKS to complain." That's on my to-do list.
actually the CD says Insert disc immediately

I talk a lot about Starbucks on my new blog. Would you mind mentioning me or my blog? Thank you very much.

I know it would be impossible to control all variables on how employees make drinks, but when you order a cappucino at Starbucks, you are expecting the best. I live in Indiana and visit several different Starbucks Coffee Shops. I love a good cappucino, but it is more difficult than you would believe to get a true cappucino in this area. They more often are "Latte", I have begun to order my cappucinos "dry" in hopes of getting a true cappucino, but sometimes that falls on deaf ears as well. Maybe I just need help in ordering correctly, or perhaps a little better training of employees is in order?
Heaven is a really good Starbucks Cappucino!

sheri, I agree, some people are falling lax on their cappuccino prodcution. If you think it's too heavy, ask them to weigh it. I'll have to check tomorrow to make sure, but I'm pretty sure a tall should be about 0.54. Whatever it is, it's heavier than most people think it should be. It's only 50% foam, so you're still getting 4, 6, 8, or 10 oz of milk depending on the size.

Meh. People need to complain about something, all the time, or else they'll spontaneously combust. It's in the nature of every customer out there.
As for the holiday music, I'm pretty sure Starbucks said right from the start to hold off playing Christmas music until one or two days after American Thanksgiving.

Oh, come on, it's not just Starbucks. It's everywhere. Target was putting out its Christmas stuff before Halloween.

Customers that call and complain about MUSIC... are you kidding me? Find something else in life that is worth complaining about. Not what music Is played at starbucks. Get a life, buy some whole bean and brew yourself some of your own damn coffee and play one of your Kenny G albums. That'll probably make you happy.

@Baristaintheraw - Thank you for a small chuckle. I remember a few years ago sitting in a Starbucks, thinking my big complaint about the business was too much Willie Nelson playing. Ah how times are a changin'

Really, really.
X-mas "season" starts either December 1, or, if you are on the early train, the day after Thanksgiving.
Before that, NO X-mas music!
None!
No, really none!

As a customer, I do not want to hear Christmas music until after Thanksgiving. At the very least, wait until the day before. Music, ads, everything pushing the holiday start so darn early now I'm sick of Christmas weeks before it even gets here.

Suck it up and deal. I really think more people need to learn that there is a time and place for everything and more people need to learn when to choose their battles. So if it plays this week or if it plays in 3 weeks, its still going to play.

Losers. You're sitting here complaining about starbucks xmas music? seriously? some people have real problems and the world is much bigger than your petty ones.. get a life and stop worrying about starbucks and start worrying about why you're such a wimp/complainer in life. Real power doesn't complain, that's reserved strictly for the weak.

Well in my neck of the woods, our Player unlocked the Christmas CD last night at midnight when we were doing the set. It has to play and there is not much choice in it.
