California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger got his drink at the Potomac Starbucks on Thanksigiving -- a tradition, according to the store manager. He was with Maria Shriver and three bodyguards. (Washington Post)

Why does this even qualify for a story The starbucks I work at had a bartender give a $10 tip and a manager for a local business give a $10 tip the both got tall brewed coffees $1.40. With his money, $4 on Thanksgiving is not significant.

I am a successful small business owner. I use a cell phone and carry a lap top in a specially designed shoulder bag. I own an auto-shift BMW and conduct almost 70% of my business on the internet. I have a fully automatic espresso maker at home and one in the office, to satisfy my addiction for the coffee. My first espresso in the morning starts the day and the first espress at the office puts actions into high gear. I like the convenience and the quality.
The outrage against Verissimo espresso maker is unfair. I know that the quality of espresso from fully automatic espresso makers can be as good as from a traditional machine. It needs proper adjustement and maintenance like any traditional espresso maker requires.
Over extracted bitter espresso from a traditional espresso maker seems to have higher acceptance rate than from a fully automatic espresso maker. It is the operator who can make or break the quality of espresso. Why blame the machine?

Edward Harris made a comment without reading the post, obviously.
That argument has been made time and time and time again, we've been over it.
So is the big deal that Ahnold visited a Starbucks or that he left a 4$ tip? (Even though we know he could have afforded a lot more)

He doesn't need to read the post he has an Auto-Shift BMW.
....and a shoulder bag!

Ah, The Governator is still just smarting a little from his special election nightmare before Thanksgiving...I would've thought he'd give more to a non-union establishment...

Wow, you guys actually have me feeling sorry for Arnold, which is quite a feat given I consistently vote against him and believed every word of the LA Times series on his alleged sexual harassment.
I bet he "only" left $4 because that's how much he tips (percentagewise) _every_ _single_ _time_ he goes to Starbucks. Because if he doesn't, a barista or heaven forbid newspaper reporter will be harping for months on how Arnold came in and, oh my lord, the cheapskate didn't tip, or only tipped a quarter.
And no I don't think this is much of a story either, but if Arnie walked in to your Starbucks you'd probably tell a few people.

Well at least he appreciates his coffee. Damn good choice on the double espresso macchiato! Not that I hate all of you caramel apple cider, soy chai, caramel macchiato, pumpkin spice latte lovers... but how can you consider that coffee.

So why are some people raising a stink about the four bucks Arnold left? Four bucks is a LOT of money! You people ever work in a drive-thru store, where most customers want totally customized frappucinos? ie. venti vanilla bean, with caramel inside the cup, whip cream on the bottom and top, packet of honey drizzled on top, with cinnamon powder? That drink, AND three more, all different drinks! That cheap ass woman leaves us... diddly jack. I would punch all you jackasses in the nose just so that I could make Arnold his doppio macchiato. And give it to him FREE. That's right, I said FREE. I reward my fair and honest customers.

Ohhhh, look at me, I own an auto-shift BMW. I'm so important! NOT! I bet you that Ed leases that piece of machine at 600 bucks a month, just to turn it back to the dealer after 36 months.

A man at our store gave us a ninety something dollar tip.. that is, he paid for his two dollar brewed coffee with a hundred dollar bill! He said to "keep the change".
