The explosion appears to have been modeled on a scene from the 1999 film, "Fight Club." (In the movie, Brad Pitt's character creates havoc on corporations by bombing them.) The 17-year-old suspect had a DVD of the movie, a box of sparklers, as well as a newspaper clipping reporting on the Starbucks bombing. Read "Teenager is arrested in May Starbucks bombing"
The kid should have put a gun in his mouth like in "Fight Club" as well. I'm sure he would've survived, too. Chuck's writing is awesome!

This is something to be alarmed about. This should be a lesson to movie makers and parents to be careful with producing and letting teens watch these type of movies.
Suggestive movies like these are harmful for kids or teens, especially when they got some wild imagination and experiencing behavior problems. Let's not wait until something similar to this will happen again, this time it might be worst for all we know.
