At my old store we used to make "The Dagwood" which was a sausage egg & cheese with bacon, gouda, ham, egg white, turkey bacon, white cheddar, and a frittata. It was just for us partners of course. I wonder what the nutritionals were on that puppy.

well the only sandwich that was ever worth eathing was the peppered bacon, which of course is no longer on the menu. So I'm not surprised that these other ones need so much added salt to be eaten.
Puh-lease bring back the peppered bacon....

Nevermind the peppered bacon (which was pretty tasty)...BRING BACK THE EGGS FLORENTINE!

Hey! Here is an idea! Instead of less salt on the breakfast menu, lets just put less sugar in the frappucinno.
Diabetese or heart disease.

Oh how I loved the eggs florentine...

sure do wish we had some egg free options. who wants eggs at 4pm? not this chick.

It's marketed as a breakfast sandwich for a reason, I'd imagine.

@baristamclane and bootsonbarelegs - I remember the Eggs Florentine sandwich. The best one ever! I'll vote with you to bring it back. :)

Starbucks has breakfast sandwiches???? Just kidding, but our store loses customers every day because we don't have them. We're a DT store and our SM has been told for a couple of months that an oven is "on the way." Maybe by next Christmas???

Dont look forward to getting an oven. It can lead to longer DT times since it is usually placed on the very very far end of a store.
I agree with misto. As not being able to eat eggs I actually liked the sausage maple scone for the simple fact that it was the only breakfast item that gets marked out i was ever able to eat.

Darth - Drive thru is amazing with DT. I've worked @ three. It doesn't slow the time if your team gets it in as soon as its ordered. It's the same actually less prep time then our "standard" waittime for a Handcrafted Bev.
I have customers asking for packets of salt to add to their Classic Sausage & Cheddar Sandwhich. So why should we lessen?
Posted by: Anthony Esparza | April 28, 2010 at 12:38 PM
meant... Oven! Hahaha!

Wow, people are retards. Honestly. Adding salt to ANY of the Sandwiches? No wonder we lead the world in Heart Attack and Stroke rate. Flavor is a beautiful thing, and, salt, used properly, can bring it out. Too bad most of us in the US are used to salt, sugar, fat on our taste buds. We have no subtlety anymore.

I think that the people who created the sandwiches must not like coffee. If you get any of the pairings (which disappear next week) you probably notice the excess of salt. Of course, that's only if you're one of those people who likes the taste of coffee, and not the rush you get when you dump half your coffee into the trash can and fill with cream and sugar.
