Ahhh the dreaded QASA... our time is coming and it seems like a bigger deal than ever!! I mean, we have had like 3 mock QASA inspections to get our store ready... and recently our DM and another DM came in to do another one!! Nothing like trying to create a Third Place environment with managers crawling all over the place...finding 50 more things that we should have done and stressing all of us out. Sometimes I feel like starbucks cares more about numbers and figures and labor than the partners..i know in our store we are all stressed out with additions of more things we have to do every day and the ever present threat of QASA... so much more to do, but not enough hours or partners.. and all the while, be legendary and make everyones day.. just a little frustrated today and hoping one day i will not have to run around like a maniac on my shifts to get everything done! feeling a little underpaid and overworked.

QASA has the store hours of every store they are scheduled to visit. They can come ANYTIME from open to close, including Sundays! Watch out, the QASA Monster is coming!

One thing I'll never understand is Baristas that can't properly adhere to my requests; if I order a Frappuccino made with sugar free syrup, don't be surprised if I question your beverage making abilities when you reach for the regular syrup.

I know a lot of our customers may get upset when we bring up their nonsense, but it has to be said. We are a coffee shop, and we want to do everything we can to make your experience worthwhile. However, that doesn't mean that we're your punching bags, or worse. Act like an adult, or we will treat you like the child you're acting like..
Just an FYI. I work with 4 people who are working on advanced degrees(including myself), so it really annoys me when some dude, who probably barely made it through high school feels this need to try to look down his nose at people who are working for a living. I needed a job, and this job was available, and I enjoy working here..It doesn't mean I'm some sort of moron, it just means this job fits my needs.

I wished your stupid ass worked in my store - just so I could fire you.

This guy sounds like he got stuck at Starbucks after earning a degree in Renaissance Art History only to find that (not surprisingly) a barista gig was the best paying job he could find.
I will merrily complain about the fact that my six-month old puppy has better manners and social skills than 85.6% of my customers, but at least I can find some joy and amusement in my job. Besides, my husband's occupation is a constant reminder that it could be worse...I have the option of quitting my job.

I couldn't understand this list of complaints. Was this guy drafted into his position of barista, or did he seek out, interview for, and accept the position to work at Starbucks? If you ever spent any amount of time at a Starbucks before applying you would've known that customers can be difficult at times. They can also be awesome. I've had customers help me move.
This is also another reason why I can't stand the availablity of social media outlets. You give some babied little brat a website and he suddenly thinks he's Thomas Paine and needs to educate Americans on how brilliant and evolved a human he/she is.
Guess what cry baby...the whole world has opions and most of them are different form yours. There is nothing special about you and you bratty little rant. I know your mommy and daddy have been telling you how special you are from day one even though you never actually accomplished anything on your own. I don't care what you have to say so take you blogs and IReports and shove 'em.
