My store is just about a half mile down the road from a center for the blind. We have already gone through 3 boxes of these cards. Awesome idea! I've seen so many blind customers over the years that have made (or someone else has made) and placed a sticker with Braille on the top of most of the cards in their wallets with what the card is that they are looking for. So nice to save them time and recognize their disability.

I like how it still has pretty decorations on the front for the blind people to enjoy.

Let's not forget -- Starbucks has a LONG history of employment discrimination against the disabled. Many of the lawsuits were reported here on this site.
This is window-dressing to disguise the reality that Starbucks willfully discriminates against the disabled.

Not that I'm the biggest Starbucks defender, but most of the "descrimination" lawsuits have been people who arn't able to the job, but were hired anyway, then fired for not being able to do the job.
Is a fire department not hiring a blind person descrimination, or just realistically realizing that not everybody can do everything? We're not all delicate flowers who are entitled to do anything we want to do, there has to be a certain amount of reality involved.
For those who are partners, do you believe someone with a disability such as blindness could work in a retail store environment such as YOUR store? Has there been any documented cases of descrimination of a disabled partner who could do the job but was seperated anyway, such as a Seattle Support Center partner?

+1 @ DC.
It's very important that there are still pretty decorations, since this ensures that blind customers are not singled out by others: if you knew that everyone could detect your disability from your Starbucks card, you'd be less likely to use it.
Now to see when this comes up as a PM interview question...

Anyone know if Caramel Brulee is coming back this year?

This card CLEARLY discriminates against people without a sense of touch!
