Starbucks is great at announcing grand plans and then backtracking. If you can't do it, don't tell the whole world that you're going to!

Its no surprise. 25% is a hefty goal and most people have no idea they can order a drink in ceramic 'for here' mug.

I don't blame the company for this one, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink . Even with the tumbler discount, even with the option to get a for here cup, people don't and most likely won't take advantage of it. I worked for the company for 5 years, and I can actually sit here and name the 15-20 people who consistently brought their own cup, or asked for a ceramic mug.

Why not offer more a a discount. They save more when customers use their own cup....
