I had a customer pass of a fraudulent check at a different store to buy a machine. He then took a lighter and blotted out the part of the heat sensitive receipt that said "check". He then went to MY store to return it. Turns out he'd done this a lot because the machine he was attempting to return was the wrong model. I told him I needed management approval. We snuck out the back door, checked his car and he had 6 Starbucks coffee machines in his back seat. We called the cops, stalled a little longer, processed the return and gave him the cash when the cops arrived and then he was arrested.
