Man's goal is to visit every Starbucks in Manhattan

John McCourt wants to stop by all 201 Starbucks in Manhattan, which doesn't seem much of a challenge compared to Winter's mission to visit every Starbucks in the world. (He's been to over 9,000 stores so far.)

I asked Winter what he thought of McCourt's project. He wrote in an email:

"What he is doing is different, and has some value. I've many times thought that it would be nice to have more detailed information about the experience at each store documented on my website, but for obvious reasons of time, this is not possible for me to do and still visit all the stores. Have fun with your experiences. I’ve been doing something like this since 1997, but your process, of actually hanging out in each store, is different from mine. I’ll be interested to see what comes of it.

As I read more of his entries, I continue to see the value. I actually do wish I could do the same thing, on a global scale, but it is virtual impossible. Even if I had the money, I wouldn't be able to have a life that included other activities if I spent that much time inside Starbucks.

Also, I prefer third wave coffee.

Last year, I made a road trip from South to North in the East coast. I realized most of my pictures during the day were in front of a Starbucks store. A friend told me: "can you stop sending me pictures of Starbucks stores. All of them are the same". I felt very frustrated !
