A 31-year-old California man was arrested for allegedly trying to cash several fake $500 Starbucks cards. Police went to Charles Ryan Angeles's home and found an embosser, computer programs, blank Starbucks cards and lists and names with personal information.
* Milipitas, Calif., man allegedly made fake Starbucks cards
Used to get fake rewards postcards from a customer until I busted him on it. He probably just took them to another Sbux. Corporate basically told me they had bigger fish to fry than to even look into it. I guess they were right. It was fun calling the guy on it, with one of his fakes and a real postcard on hand, in front of a crowded store. He just turned around and walked away. No argument.
