"Buddy, you look like a dick," says a writer from tech site Gizmodo. (I say he just looks a tad eccentric.) "A word of advice to our hipster friend: if you're going to go through all the trouble of dragging your obnoxiously conspicuous typewriter to a public gathering place, maybe next time, don't choose Starbucks."
* Look at this idiot using a typewriter at Starbucks
* Earlier: Man lugs his desktop computer into a Starbucks store
Gizmodo writer is a dick. This is a lovely vintage portable typewriter. Who says you HAVE to go to Starbucks to use the WiFi? The typewriter is still a very useful tool. And it will work if the power goes out. What's next? Are you going to condemn someone for writing with a pen in a notebook? Why even Starbucks still brews coffee using the French press. Talk about vintage. To each his own. Dare to be different. Unique, vintage and coffee are all fashionable. Tech writers with closed minds are dull.

That would be obnoxious. I was on a train once and a guy was sitting half a carriage away banging away on a typewriter. I told him he had to knock it off.

Saw a 27 inch Mac in a Panera Bread a couple of weeks ago.

Hipsters everywhere are getting to be so obnoxious!! They seem to flock to Starbucks like moths to a flame. That guy would be so annoying all the while thinking he was so cool.

I agree with GeeAMouse! It might create noise while he types but it's a beautiful typewriter nevertheless :)

Someone didn't love him enough along the way and he is just screaming for any sort of attention from anyone who will give it.
