A shift supervisor told Azad to turn off the lamp because it was bothering people. The woman then went to every customer in the store and asked if they had a problem with her lamp.
“According to her, every customer (about 20 people) replied in the negative," the ruling commission said.
A news account reports:
Azad alleged the Starbucks employees fabricated the complaint in effort to be rid of her, and that she was the subject of derogatory comments, and overheard the store manager say one time, "in Canada, we don’t like terrorists.” The tribunal found no evidence of the discrimination.Ah yes, the problems that we face when people think their favorite business is their second home.
