It appears this wasn't authorized by headquarters. A company spokesman says Starbucks has no plans to offer delivery at any other locations. He tries to play down news of the new policy at the 85th Street Starbucks in NYC with the explanation: "It's just going to cause confusion among our customers." (New York Times/reg. req.)
That blows, I would love such a service!

my old store use to deliver to the bank when we did the deposits. it was cool, they tipped pretty good and it was on the way, so the manager didn't mind.

Maybe headquarters will have a change of heart and encourage all stores to deliver.....I guess i'm living in a dream world.

Starbucks has stores at are drive thru now you whine for delivery? Wow and we wonder why Americans are so fat

Cafes throughout Europe deliver and this type of service is perfect for working late, a busy afternoon or a meeting type of environment. It makes sense to deliver pizza and not coffee? Go figure.

As a customer and employee of Starbucks I can see how this service would be convenient for customers and a different approach of Starbuck's "Legendary Service". But, stores cannot be prejudice and only offer this service to a select number of customers. If a store were to offer this service, it would have to apply it to all customers. This wouldn't be possible for any store at this moment with it current work structure. Then again, I probably just looked way to far into this.

I think the whole idea of Starbucks delivery is pretty clear to the customers. Busy at work, want a coffee, can't run out to get it... let's call for delivery. I guess it's just a coffee lovers dream.....

I understand that a company in Dallas is rolling out a mobile espresso kiosk serving Starbucks drinks and bringing them to you? The company is called Java Jockeys. If so, where do I sign up!!

I think that is the best next direction Starbucks should go is to have a delivery system setup. I would order in a heartbeat!!

I had the same thought this morning as I drove past a long lines of people waiting for a cup of coffee.

I'd order morning coffee delivered to my boyfriend on his birthday. I live on a different continent for now, but would SO use a Starbucks delivery service if it existed. Birthdays, late night, just a cup of pick-me-up... This Starbucks spokesperson remains unnamed, I notice... I guess that way he won't have to eat his words in the future... :) Starbucks will deliver. Just wait. It's "the American way".

so we want coffee delivery because we are fat? i'm assuming in general you are also saying lazy. this is not neccessarily true. what about times we just CAN'T get to Starbucks, like people mentioned while at work, or when you don't have a vehicle(i'm a SAHM and my husband leaves for work with our only car wayyy before the rest of the family gets up). I think this is a good idea and makes lots of sense. it might eliminate the need to have that guy at the office that always runs to get everyone coffee in the morning, lol.

I respect your honesty and your opinion. I'm a man. I never read comic books. I don't know if i could have pointed to Iron Man in a lineup of comic book characters. And i don't particularly like movies based on comic books. BUT I love Robert Downey Jr, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jeff Bridges, so i decided to give the movie a chance.
bst reg-s.

Wow. We aren't 'whining for delivery.' There are many people like me who have no vehicle to get to their starbucks and don't live in a walk friendly area, or want to walk in 100+ degree weather. I'd really like delivery right about now.
