Zach Mann says he'll no longer update his Stardrunks website because some people made bumper stickers with his logo and URL -- without his knowledge -- and started slapping them around Seattle. "People got a hold of me and said that bumper stickers had been made and put on people's properties," Mann says, adding, "I never meant for anyone to suffer any damage." His website expressed his opposition to Starbucks' plan to sell coffee liqueur. (Seattle Post-Intelligencer)
Let me see if I understand this: The article refers to Mr. Mann, an emotional propagandist who once rented a vacant lot next to a Starbucks in his hometown, erected a mock graveyard with thousands of white crosses to symbloize the number of children killed each year in alcohol-related incidents in that lot, and Webmaster of a site called "stardrunks."
This is now the same Mr. Mann who is shocked and surprised that someone took his protest to the next level and damaged personal property?
The main is either very naieve or dangerously ingenious. I've already marked my bet.

worst.piece.of.journalism EVER
the journalist raised all these questions and used quotes that seem to have nothing to do with anything. why did mann say he's gonna stop updating his website? shouldnt he be happy that his cause is getting free promotion? i mean, doesnt it help him achieve his goal?
what exactly is this typo he's referring to here near the end? ("That (age) typo appeared three times," Mann said. To him, it constitutes "a lack of corporate responsibility in terms of marketing alcohol to children," and Starbucks ought to sell the liqueur with a different logo.)

Mr. Mann is referring to my property damage. The vandals who hit Seattle covered my fence and home with 35 stickers and left the paperbacking all over the street, plus they hit 6 or 8 City street locations near Starbucks Stores, posting 2 6 foot x 4 foot banners on our school. I also heard of paint damage at our Seattle Aquarium. I talked with Mr. Zachery Mann's wife Donna, also with the Mayor of their town and the town's Chief of Police. All deny that they know anything about or take any responsibilty for our trashed and vandalized city and my property. I am hoping that the vandals will admit to their stupid mistake and repair the damage. For now the Seattle Police are working on it and when caught I will seek damages. There is some print shop out there that printed these and I am hoping they will come forward. I am offering a Starbucks Gift Card as reward for any clue to the vandals location. Thanks. I might point out that while I think Mr. Mann's orginal idea of protecting teens from Drunk drivers...the jump to blame Starbucks is quite a silly stretch...and no given the mess it and his web site caused it ...well just makes him and his whole stance look stupid. See the comments on the forum and chk out his registered users count (2 plus himself). And not that over 90% of the posts are calling him at least silly and "off". Site link is==> http://stardrunks.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=2 Good luck in your next protest and maybe think it thru a bit more Zach.
