Let's get to know the Starbucks Gossip community

STARBUCKSGOSSIP.COM celebrates its first birthday in a few weeks. (I registered the domain last July 31.) There've been some great controversies -- who can forget the tipping debate that was featured in the New York Times? -- and interesting posts from hundreds of readers. I think it's time we met "the Starbucks Gossip community." Here's the deal: Take a photo of yourself (with a cellphone or any digital camera) in your favorite Starbucks (or the one where you work), and e-mail it to me for posting. Also: Send your name/nickname/posting handle, age (if you want), city. Share a little info about yourself -- how long you've been reading Starbucks Gossip, your favorite *$ drink, any memorable/funny/weird Starbucks moments, what you hate/love about Starbucks, and anything else you want to share. (If you're a regular poster to Starbucks Gossip message boards, be sure to reveal your handle.) Make this your weekend project!

This sounds like fun! It almost makes me want to buy a camera phone - almost. I'm sure I can borrow a friends phone though. I'll see if I can snap a shot with my fav barista on Taylor St. ;)

Yarr! Not all of your readers have (or want) cameraphones. How 'bout a webcam shot in my old Starbucks-barista garb?

Sure, any digital photo is fine. Doesn't have to be taken with a cellphone.

I'd love to post a pic of myself and all that whatnot. But I think I've heard of people being fired for less, especially if I should ever say anything critical about the big green cult. But hey...what's up anyways everyone!

I just received an email that claims that A U.S. Marine unit in Iraq expressed a love of Starbucks coffee, and requested that it be made available to the troops. It claims that Starbucks does not support the war in Iraq and therefore, would not send any coffe there. Is this another urban legend or the truth?

Jim Romenesko, you are like my favorite person.

In regards to diver,
According to snopes, that's an urban legend.
