A Starbucks spokesman says "we're thrilled that there's this much interest in the campaign." (Somebody here posted last week: "There are 200,000 t-shirts it says it in the promo workbook." Does that person care to explain the false information?) (Seattle Times)
> Earlier: Starbucks gives away a "very limited number" of T-shirts
wow. Only 10,000..this really does make them a collectors item..hmm..I might have to sell mine on ebay. I got a notification yesterday that it was printed and ready to be shipped. Hmm..interesting.

I've been trying all week to get one :(

What's the trick? I tried several times, right around 10 pst every day so far this week.

Hey, I have a question. I was just presented with a write-up from 6 months ago, is it still valid? I think it is because I made a complaint on my manager. Can she do this?
Posted by: Barista | February 22, 2007 at 11:45 AM
Six months ago....? Did you sign it under protest? or just sign it. Did she make you back date the signature?
I find this very suspicious.
When you say "you made a complaint", what do you mean? Did you call the "partner help line"? go to the DM? or to her?
If she is retaliating about the complaint, go to partner help line and file a formal complaint immediately and follow up with the DM. You must state that you believe the write up is in retaliation for your original complaint.

I created my Tshirt last week and it arrived yesterday. Overall a nice shirt - a light beige colored T, with teh graphic printed on the top. It says I can get a free version of the drink if I wear it to a Starbucks.
Just FYI.
As for getting the shirt, I logged on at 10:10PST, created the shirt and got it last Friday.

Luckily, I could order Starbucks T-shirts
last Saturday.
After I got done doing everything, I pressed the submit button at the bottom.
But after I pressed submit , I didn't get any screen came up such as "You are done " or "You are succeed "
Am I going to e-mail back if I ordered correctly ?
I am worried if I was doing right.

I got a shirt on Monday. I had the whole thing designed prior to 1:00 (I'm on the east coast) and as soon as the clock struck 1:00 I clicked "preview cup". Instead of the wallpaper information it said something like "congratulations you got a shirt" and then it asked me for my address and then to choose a size. When I hit submit it said I'd get the shirt in a few weeks.

Hello Helen,
Yes, I filled out my address and size too
I didn't see " I'd get the shirt in a few
weeks " after I submit it.
I think I need to try it again.
Thanks.

C-
I made a complaint to the DM as well as Partner Help Line. I was told by my DM that I didn't have to sign, so I didn't. Will do what you said and make another formal complaint and mention I think it to be in retaliation. C- do you know what can come from this? How much trouble am I going to be in?
Posted by: Barista | February 22, 2007 at 07:41 PM
I made my shirt a bit earlier compared to the 10 time line and two minutes before the 10 time, I kept doing the preview and at 9:58 it actually went early. So there you have it, just wait a bit and keep trying constantly, but have your design pre-made before the timeline.
And if you wear it you get a free drink..darn I may have it wear it or just be like here tahdah please don't make me wear this.

See, the Starbucks people at the SSC actually do read this website. I wonder if this reporter actually reads this website too. She must think I'm psycho or something but I assure you honey, I have the psychoogical tests from three different people that I am completely sane with nothing wrong whatsoever. Anyway, I am going to try to get like 5 t-shirts, enough for my two favorite drinks, one for my SM, and 2 for my favorite customers. Talk about surprise and delight!

OMG, I just tried to get a t-shirt 10:15 EST and it said they were already sold out. What's the deal here people. I think at least a certain amount say 25% of the supply should be reserved for partners. They are definetely getting a Mission Review about this.

10:15 EST would still fall under yesterday's allotment. Try after 1 EST.

Wooohoo! I got mine this morning, thanks to the suggestions of everyone here. Shirt created by 9:45 and then I verified my clock time with www.time.gov. I clicked the preview at exactly 10:00 am PST. Now it says to wait 2-4 weeks. No problem.

Yes, I did it! I got my t-shirt. But the window seems to open slightly ahead of time. I even tried to have multiple browsers open to get more than one and send them to different addresses but no luck! Any who, I did at least get one. Me so happy! The shirts sold out in less than one minute. I will try again later. I need to get some for my SM and some customers.

SAD! They were already sold out by 1301 EST.

For Boston Satbucks Rebel and other partners...
Starbucks employees or their immediate families are not eligible to order/create the shirts-just a reminder to those partners that want a shirt. My daughter was so mad when I told her that, she got her grandmother to get one for her instead. Hopefully grandma isn't considered immediate family.

In all truthfulness with only 10,000 shirts being given away and this has been going for a bit, they're probably only giving away under a 1,000 a day, opps actually under a 1,000 since it started the 15th, and it ends the 28th. So there's a big chance that you won't get one due to the demand and also the supply being very low.

I got one yesterday for myself and another today for my husband. Very cool. I might have to try again tomorrow. My husband was jealous because he tried all of last week with no luck, but I got one on my first try yesterday and again today. I created the cup beforehand and clicked on "get a shirt" at a second or two past 10:00 PST.

Is it possible that there's some regional selection going on, based on IP address?
