A group calling itself The Resistance complains about a new version of Starbucks' logo that the Christians say "features a topless mermaid with her legs spread." They want people to boycott the coffee company because of it. Of course, Resistance will only drive more people -- especially teen boys -- to Starbucks stores to check out this allegedly racy image. What fools! (Read the Huffington Post item)

Pardon my intense sarcasm and bitching.
But wouldn't you be too if everyone was blaming something on you and your social group, and you actively saw that its not true.

I suppose the mermaid could have been a whale, or some other symbol out of Moby Dick.
I have feeling the name Starbuck is lost on a lot of people, perhaps the group that objects to the mermaid. Perhaps they could enroll in an American literature class?
