A 22-year-old barista was carrying a small, concealed handgun and shot himself in the left leg while customers and co-workers were close by. He was working at the Starbucks on 16th Street NW and U Street NW in Washington, D.C. Read "Starbucks Worker Hurts Homeself in Store When Gun Discharges"
@Shift Supervisor - To start a brand new conversation, look for a thread that is labeled an "OPEN" thread. There usually is a new one each Friday or sometimes Saturday.
The syrup conversation makes my head spin. This had to have been easier back in the day when there was like 3 syrups & mocha sauce.

I agree with Brandon and Java Jane.
It sounded to me like Jeff has a legitimate gripe. Our first priority is to our customers and to have a good attitude. I don't know where it is that you guys get away with leaning on the register or being snotty to customers, but that behaviour is not acceptable.
Yes, I dislike obnoxious customers who are too absorbed with themselves to think about anyone else (blab blab on the phone or whatever..) but almost worse than that is having an EMPLOYEE who is getting PAID TO DO A JOB acting in the same manner. Disgusting. That barista is lucky they have a job.
Oh, and Jeff, as was stated above, call the store manager directly. That is the person who can take the soonest real action...PLEASE CALL! Baristas like this give everyone a bad name.
