We haven't posed this question for two-plus years now. (Here's the last celeb thread.) Let us know the celeb's name, the city or store he/she visited, the drink he/she ordered (if you recall), the tip, the attitude (friendly, a jerk, etc.) and any other details that your typical US Weekly reader would want to know. || Jump to the second page of comments.
I have seen Colorado Avalanche players, Peter Budaj and Ian Laperriere (now with Flyers) in the Lone Tree, CO store.

This thread comes two weeks early. The Toronto Film Fest starts in about two weeks. I'm sure we can contribute a lot more then. :-)

Pamela Anderson came through the drive-thru this past Saturday. It was at a store I used to work at, but I heard all about it. Also Premier Gordan Campbell has come in a few times with his security around.

Nicole Kiddman and Keith Urban - he gets a grande bold and she gets a tall cup of non-fat foam. He is very nice unless you randomly snap a picture of him. (he cussed a customer out for that) She just acts aloof although, if she likes you she will say thank you back as you hand-off the beverage.

Stephen Baldwin is a regular at my location, he's a douche and really weird..

Don't work in Starbucks, however in a restaurant I was working in during the 1980's I saw Todd Bridges (Dif'rent Strokes) before he was arrested for taking police on a Rodney King style chase.

A couple of years ago Sammy Hagar visited one of our neighboring stores when he was performing a concert in the area.

Dave Matthews, Ventura, CA. Tall coffee. Friendly! Came in from his tour bus with the whole entourage. Pretty exciting stuff...

Janine Turner from Northern Exposure as well as countless Lifetime movies comes into our store in Southlake, Tx every couple of months or so. Her mother lives there and she stops buy when she visits. She is super sweet and if memory serves she drinks a tall skinny vanilla latte and her mother drinks a tall non-fat one. She always has a smile and I love to call her O'Connell when she comes in.

Kevin Spacey came into our store with his cute dog and a SS threw him out!! The next day he came in without the dog, ordered a Venti Vanilla latte, was extremely nice, left a five dollar tip and walked away with little to no fanfare. I guess he was here filming that 21 movie.

I got Dennis Rodman during the Super Bowl last year...actually seemed nice and normal.

I've seen:
-Dan Lauria (the dad from the Wonder Years)
-Cal Ripken Jr.
-John Basedow (Fitness Made Simple)
-Charles Shaunessey (the dad from the Nanny)
-a bunch of the Islanders (hockey)
and someone told me Joan Jett was there but I didn't see her.
Seeing Cal Ripken Jr. was weird because the whole place got so quiet. Everyone was just watching him.
Posted by: Buxer | August 25, 2009 at 04:33 PM
Oh yeah and he got a grande coffee with room. No tip. But nice.
Posted by: Colorado SM | August 25, 2009 at 05:07 PM
Mary Lynn Rajskub, the comedienne who plays Chloe on "24". Grande, nonfat, extra foamy latte. She was polite, and quiet, and said "Thank you."
They were filming for the show "The Cleaner" right by our store, so some of the cast and crew got drinks. I served Grace Park. She was with a guy, and they were both super friendly and very chatty. I think she got a tall chai, but I don't remember very well.

I had a tall african-american gentleman, in his 60's, come in my store. He appeared totally normal and routine. When I looked at the hat he was wearing a celtics logo stood out. (I love the Celtics!) I asked "Are you a Celtics fan?" He replied "Somethin like that". He ordered a tall Ameicano. When I looked over at the local cops sitting at the corner table they were mouthing something to me. "SSS that is Bill Russell!"
I was floored and felt foolish. I looked down at his hand when I handed off his drink...yup one of his 11 NBA championship rings on the right ring finger.
Are you a celtics fan??? That's what asked the most famous (sorry Larry) Celtic of all time? Jeez.

Robin Givens frequents my Starbucks in Bradenton, Florida. She always comes through the drive-thru in her SUV, with her mother and her young child. Can't remember her drink though.

While working at my Michigan Ave. (Chicago) Starbucks, I saw Stanley from The Office. I also heard from fellow employees that Tom Cruise and Robin Williams came in on different days when I wasn't working.

Demi Lovato was super nice. And apparently the Jonas Brothers have been in my store.
Posted by: CamSpi | August 25, 2009 at 06:59 PM
Alec Baldwin, Joan Rivers, Renee Zellweger, Jerry Stiller, Kim Cattrall, Bobby Flay... all I can remember for now.
Everyone's been nice enough!

Amanda Bynes came through our drive through when she was filming a movie around here a while back. I don't remember what she got, but she drove off without it and came back about 10 minutes later...lol

Judge Judy came in. She was a bitch.
Posted by: Allie | August 25, 2009 at 08:12 PM
Well since someone already mentioned two of the Baldwin brothers, William and Daniel are both everyday regulars at my store, both pretty friendly. I also get Michael Keaton occasionally, Arnold has been there a handful of times and Rob Lowe is usually hanging out with him. Ive also had Nicole Richie, Colin Farrell, Aaron Eckhart, and Kevin James, all of them have been really nice.

University of Louisville Men's Basketball Coach Rick Pitino.
(just google his name for recent national media stories re: sexual affair/extortion attempt)
Orders a Grande 2 Equal Skinny Vanilla Latte and pays with a Sbux Gold Card. It's a steamy August Saturday afternoon and we ask if he wants it hot or iced. He says hot and goes outside to sit on the patio in the summer heat.
Comes back in a minute or two later and asks us to "pour it over ice". We take back his cup, start prepping a new, fresh. iced version of the drink and turn to throw the hot one away. He protests "but there's still some left in there".
We let him know "Yes sir, but the drink won't taste the same- pls let us re-make it for you."
It was all I could do to hold my tongue and NOT reply: "Dude, we're fixing your drink- keep your pants on!!!"

Robin Williams, Ryan Adams & Mandy Moore, Tom Brokaw, David Allen Grier, Michael Mckean (of Spinal Tap), Kyle Petty, Nastia Liukin, Marketa Irglova, Shawn Wayans, Luke Wilson, Ross the Intern (Leno show). There's a nice hotel around the corner that celebs often stay in when they come to nashville and they're usually very nice. The only problem we had with one was James Taylor who tried to take money from the tip jar when he was a few cents short! really james?!
Posted by: nashvillesbux | August 25, 2009 at 09:49 PM
Raul Ibanez (outfielder for the Philadelphia Phillies) is a regular at our store. He and his wife are very nice.
Posted by: BitchyBarista | August 25, 2009 at 09:59 PM
Flava Flav came into my store with a group of people and some kids (clock and all!) a year or two ago-- Queen Ka'ahumanu Center on Maui. He got a bottled Mocha Frappuccino from the RTD case, in addition to the big coconut with a straw in it (total tourist thing) that he was drinking already.
I work at an Ala Moana location in Honolulu now, and supposedly some Lost cast members come in from time to time, but I've never seen any. The film crew guys come in occasionally, and they're really nice.

The only two requests I have are to meet with my two favorite STARBUCKS CELEB's :
1- M@MI-MEL: I feel the conversation over coffee with this individual would be one of the most enlightening experiences in my life, but also very dangerous for everything I have put into this thing we all call SBUX...
NEXT...
2-Mr. Howard Schultz- from one person with an identical upbringing from the projects in NYC- to an icon...my final day if I ever was thinking of giving up and cashing in my chips, for my final hand...I would need to have a 1-on-1 with the real boss, only then would I play that last hand, or if he folds...
Bet's on Giants and Eagles, oh yea M.Vick drinks lots of coffee and is known to frequent many of our locations across the country, so Baristas show him that legendary service, he tips damn well...
Last Famous person that all you old school rabbits know, HONEY-MAN...legend, how about NEWSPAPER LADY< AND SKELATOR??
R.I.P M.Jackson, loved our place and missed, HEHE!

Lordy PapiNews your posts give me a chuckle. I haven't spent enough time in Starbucks to see celebs there, and for that matter, I'm not sure that there are that many celeb sightings to be had in Seattle.
@TwirpChirp - I did especially enjoy your post!! Eons ago (like literally close to 20 years ago) Bill Russell came into a dental office where I was working as a dental assistant. I had no idea who he was at the time. I remember being stunned at how he didn't even come close to fitting in the dental chair.

I was saying your a celeb status in my eyes from your dealing and journey through SBUX but it's very strange cause I'm seeing a side from a customer/investor/ and ?? You have more involvement then most know, so I know from speaking to people across the country that you are directly involved with a lot more than you present on your twiits and posts everywhere... Anyway we will cross paths one day but not until I feel comfortable with deciding to go to the next level of my journey, but you definitely are a strong connection to opportunity in SBUX through your relationships with so many "important" members of our large Familia here @ SBUX... HMMMmmm....Anyhow you seem to me more valuable as a Corporate Solider for us workers and front-line members, as well as investors, then Howie, and this makes you my favorite STARBUCKS CELEB...JOY and keep on keeping on, onward, and BOLD is mandatory in MY whole district all day, we run out of pike and just brew BOLD and decaf fright, I mean pike, as of last week, due to the dddDDDEmand...MELODY has something to do with this...Hmmm...?? CHEERS...
More NEWS on the way

Ben Stein has been in my store a couple times, Chelsea Clinton came into my previous store after speaking on campus. She was a total bitch and kept giving me really dirty looks for no reason. And my original store had Tom from Bob & Tom as a regular. He was a really nice guy, usually got iced green tea.

A father and son came into my store wearing Tampa Bay Rays hats a couple years ago. Just to make conversation I started telling them about how there was someone who had graduated from the high school I was going to at the time that was in the major leagues and played for the Rays. Then I realized halfway thorugh the story that the son WAS the major leaguer that I was telling him about. Its unlikley that anyone knows him but his name is Brendan Harris and he plays for the Twins now. He was quite nice
