Is this another bogus Starbucks and the troops tale? Or is there something to it?
Lauretta writes to STARBUCKS GOSSIP: "I found out today that stores (at least in my area) have been told to pull Via troops donations baskets from the floor. We are apparently pulling the program due to "negative media coverage." But...

I do hope Juan is laying on a beach somewhere drinking a pina colada.

Well I can attempt to fill in for Juan here...
I visited two separate Starbucks locations in New York City yesterday.
The first one at 684 8th Ave (near the Port Authority Terminal) had fast enough service, but the washroom was a disgrace. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in several days. Worst of all, a homeless guy was sponge bathing himself in it when I arrived.
The second one, at 2045 Broadway near W 70th, was much better. It was much cleaner than the one on 8th Ave. I ordered a grande peppermint mocha but they totally forgot about it, so they gave me a venti!
