Many people do, reports Barbara De Lollis. She writes: "Getting ready for a business trip is time consuming enough, so the thought of taking even three minutes to research Starbucks locations in advance of a trip - to me, anyway - suggests an entirely different level of dedication to the brand." || Read "Does Starbucks availability influence your hotel choice?
Hah, I've never even thought of that.... I stay in hotels NEAR Starbucks, but never one that serves it (typically don't do hotel food) -- they are never open the times I am ready to eat.
Now if the coffee was brought to my bedside in the morning, then I would do that! But I would have to pay more than my typical $170/night...

Hmm, maybe if I read the article first I would have known that what I do is what the article was suggesting -- sorry!

I find a Starbucks nearby to be reassuring, a guarantee that I can get a decent cup of coffee if I want one.

I never touch hotel coffee. Every so often the hotel will have a Starbucks in the lobby. But that's usually a franchise or, worse, a "We proudly serve Starbucks" location made to appear as a real Starbucks. Either way, the quality is several notches below what the level of a company store.

Ha ha ha....I worked at a hotel resturant in NY and we would advertise Starbucks Coffee...Guess what? It was not starbucks! It was what ever kind of beans they would buy when they bought beans. Even in the espresso maker, it was random beans. Usually bad! So, don't go believing its starbucks unless you actually see the bag stating starbucks.

@Somebody - There are no Starbucks franchisees. It's a licensed store, which gives SBUX more control over operations than a franchise location, but less so than a company owned store.
When traveling, one of the first things I always do is get my bearings on the nearest Starbucks company owned store.
