How about a Snickers Frappuccino? I'm a brewed coffee guy, so I'm happy with what's currently offered, but I suspect other customers and employees have ideas for drinks that have yet to be launched. What are yours? Discuss this --
or anything else Starbucks-related -- in the OPEN THREAD. || Jump to

My personal creation that I invented recently is (venti sized)... one pump white mocha, 2% to the first line, orange mango to the second line, 4 scoops matcha, one banana, a scoop of protein, 2 pumps coconut (optional) and if you want it sweeter add 1 pump creme base
it is a new hit with all of us at the cafe and i've even got some regulars hooked on it too! try it :)

haha LM that frap is just like the green tea orange mango vivanno. When the smoothies first came out, matcha and espresso were add-ons. And to Thinkagain..... I like how you talked down to people for not charging the SD right, but you were wrong too. If anybody actually reads the portal, VENTIS are not charged the EXTRA SHOT. Americano+ classic. That's it! Do a search for Starbucks Double Pricing and you'll see the action item. On the topic of missed favorites: I miss the blueberry sauce. MMMmmmmm blueberry cream frap. or blueberry mocha. So good!!!!!

"I think we're hard pressed to find a policy". Nope. Starbucks sent a memo on how to ring it up and it's already been given in this thread.

MMM is a drink. Crunchberry and zebra mochas are not. A marble mocha is. You seem to be confused about a lot of things.
Posted by: Thinkagain | June 26, 2011 at 07:24 AM
@blackapron boy: you need to read the current action item, not the one from previous years. Since they changed the iced venti americano from 5 to 4 shots you are to charge for an extra shot.

Close Dark,
.....but those leases didn't expire.

re: Arnold Palmer - that's a black tea lemonade. The store I used to work at in Fl made those all the time

A coffee milk shake is not the same as a coffee frap. Milkshake has ice cream fraps do not.

In regards to Coffee People:
In September 2006, Diedrich Coffee announced its plans to close its company-owned retail stores, 40 of which were SOLD to rival Starbucks and reopened under that brand. (Includes Coffee people)

PEACHBERRY FRAPP (and no, orange mango doesn't taste like peaches. it tastes like orange mango and indigestion).
CHEESECAKE FRAPP
hopefully made with a powder similar to the protein powder so it would be nice and thick.
and i know it's a food, but.. CHOCOLATE-DIPPED FRUIT

LM: do you all not follow frappuccino repeatable routine/ have new blenders?

Iced Venti Americano never had five shots....
Posted by: NJ | June 26, 2011 at 06:58 PM
"Since they changed the iced venti americano from 5 to 4 shots you are to charge for an extra shot. "
Like NJ said, all venti americanos have always had 4 shots.

Why do so few partners not realize that Starbucks changed the iced venti americano recipe this year? Do so few know their jobs?No wonder customers complain that their drinks are never the same
Posted by: noknowledgetobefound | June 26, 2011 at 07:49 PM
I compared the recipe cards side by side because I thought they had changed the recipe. sure enough, they had. It DID used to be 5 shots. Starbucks cheaped out this year. Which I think is pretty dirty.
Posted by: Itstrue | June 26, 2011 at 08:16 PM
In my six years with the company, iced americanos have always had four shots. That's the recipe now, and that has been the recipe since I first started.
Posted by: waltie | June 26, 2011 at 08:34 PM
^^ That should say "iced venti americanos," of course.
Posted by: waltie | June 26, 2011 at 08:35 PM
off topic, but in Fort worth, TX we were told by our district manager, Rose Alvarez, that we can't have a tip jar in the drive thru anymore. Most of our business comes from the drive thru and now our pay is way down :(
Just wondering if DM's are allowed to do that? and if other stores got rid of their drive thru tip jar?
Posted by: fwbarista | June 27, 2011 at 12:02 AM
fwbarista - i've heard of some stores recently taking the tip jar off of the drive thru. I'm not sure why. However, I do know that DMs call the shots with tips, and can even take your tip jars away if necessary due to theft/fighting over tips at the store.

Waltie-still the kind of pulling stuff out of his ass

*king
Posted by: Farfromit | June 27, 2011 at 05:34 PM
Coffee People asked Starbucks to take over their leases. When the stores closed Starbucks was willing to interview and hire many of the CP employees
Posted by: From Portland | June 27, 2011 at 11:30 PM
Waltie is right. Iced venti americano has always had four shots and has had four shots for the 8+ years I've worked here. The Starbucks Double Shot had five in a venti, but an iced venti has always had a quad in it.

"Waltie-still the king of pulling stuff out of his ass"
How so? By quoting proper policy with which most people have concurred?
Posted by: waltie | June 28, 2011 at 06:33 AM
I really should have pulled the old card out and saved it, simply so I could post it and show you all what idiots you are.
Posted by: Farfromit | June 28, 2011 at 07:24 AM
If it exists, somebody will post it. However, it doesn't exist, so nobody will. Iced venti americanos have always had only four shots.
Posted by: waltie | June 28, 2011 at 07:56 AM
Since 99 it has been 4 shots. when i started I thought it was 5... because of the easy "it's one shot more in an iced venti" explanation when i was trained. but one day I went the BRM in about 2000 and was shocked to find out the real recipe... if there is a recipe card out there... it was a misprint and sent out before being proofread, which happens quite a bit in Sbux.
Posted by: Stan | June 28, 2011 at 11:39 AM
Anybody know if Sbux is planning to do the treat receipts again this summer? I'd have thought to have seen them by now if they were coming....
Posted by: PC | June 28, 2011 at 05:02 PM
Treat receipts are in fact comming back.

I vote for Thai Iced Tea! :) It contains almost same caffeine as coffee.
Posted by: Thai Iced Tea | June 29, 2011 at 06:53 AM
@thinkagain...
why so hostile? and if you could point me in the direction of recipe cards for a MMM or a SD, I'd be glad to share them with every partner who trains from now on... just because we offered these drinks in the past, you feel that they are more legit than other heavily modified drink concoctions not listed on the menu board or POS screen? For instance, what a MMM actually gets punched in as would be "white mocha, (1 less) pump, upside down, no whip, add foam, add mocha drizzle."... sometimes with an "ask me" on there for good measure. and you are under the impression that for whatever reason this should be considered a standard Starbucks beverage? more than "strawberries and creme, no classic, sub toffee nut"?
Posted by: slaw275 | June 29, 2011 at 01:40 PM
A drink someone made up and a former menu drink are two very different things. SD and MMM are legit. The others are not. You are not very knowledgeable, sad. This is why so many people complain that they can't get the same thing wherever they go.
Posted by: Farfromit | June 30, 2011 at 06:25 AM
why can't they bring the one gluten free goodie they had BACK? I am so tired of eating those kind bars while my friend is eating some gooey bakery thing!
Posted by: Lisa | June 30, 2011 at 04:39 PM
@lisa
because we sold one a week.
Posted by: Stan | June 30, 2011 at 04:55 PM
the proper procedure for iced venti SDS is not to add shot. it is just americano + classic.
it may be hard to dig up now, but last summer an action item came out (after they had taken it off the menu from the year before) that stated that it was americano + classic.
no where did it say to add shot for the venti.
(it's one of those secret bonuses for those in the know..)
