The Wall Street Journal does person-on-the-street interviews with Starbucks customers.
(Have you joined the FANS OF STARBUCKS GOSSIP page on Facebook yet?)
Not affiliated with Starbucks Corporation (obviously)
I usually like Simon Constable but he isn't quite up to snuff here. He could have found better interviewees and led them on a little less.
But his real problem is that the VIA issue has little to do with taste and lots to do with aftereffects. It tastes fine but it gives you stomach gas!

I know this isn't an open theard but its urgent! I may be getting evicted and I was wondering how the cup fund works, has anyone used t before for this type of situation, etc?

I have (almost) used the cup fund before, to take a flight to Texas for a funeral. I ended up using it for personal reasons. You need to contact partner benefits and give them some information as far as the why's and when's. Then they get in contact with your SM (more or less to verify what's going on, so you definitely want to let them know first). You'll get confirmation within a few days of your request. The whole process is pretty painless, but awesome that our company offers it.

As far as VIA goes, It is my only option at home, since I don't have a coffee maker. I don't experience the gas, but I do get very shaky, and a more rapid heartbeat, things I don't experience much with brewed coffee or even espresso. I like mixing the iced coffee with milk and a little chocolate at home. Very tasty!

hey s, why don't you discuss cup fund questions with your district manager

Managermatt, I'm so glad you shared that. I had the shaky thing really bad. I tried VIA a couple of times to make sure that was the cause. It was horrible. (tastes bad too) I can throw down multiple shots with no problem. When I mention this to people no one else has ever experienced it.
