A "short" cup of Clover-brewed Sumatra went from $1.75 to $2.15, a nearly 23 percent hike. There are so few Starbucks stores with Clover machines that most people won't care about this. Starbucks says: "This was the first price increase for Clover since its introduction in 2008. We incur higher costs associated with procuring and by-the-cup brewing of these very rare coffees."
It just sounds like a very expensive Keurig.

@Tom... it's NOTHING like a Kurig. It's more like a french press on steroids.
When I left Starbucks in 2010, it has been 2 years since Clover was purchased by starbucks, and it looked like it was dead. they spent a ton of money buying that company to have it as an exclusive only to not roll out more of them or promote it well. Which is a shame, because indie coffee houses were buying them up before they bought the company.
I'll take a clover brewer, any day.
