How are they selling?
NOTE TO CUSTOMERS: Starbucks is giving away 12-ounce samples on Friday from 12-3 p.m. local time.

* Starbucks' new coffee product doesn't taste like coffee (Seattle Business Journal)
Worked yesterday, they seemed to go over pretty well. I'm surprised their wasn't more mention on Facebook though.

I liked the sample I tried. A little overly sweet for my taste, but not in a sickly syrupy way. The real fruit floating around in it was a nice (if not slightly strange) touch. The samples were shaken with ice, and I don't imagine I would like it very much unless it were absolutely ice cold. It's a tall can, and getting to the bottom after holding it in my hand would probably be in "warm beer" territory. I don't think I'd buy one, but the samples were nice.

(I should add, the sample I was given was not 12 ounces, but rather maybe 1 ounce, in those tiny plastic sampler cups)

Sarah, there are hand crafted ones available in the store which aren't carbonated. Those are the samples you tried, not the ones from the cans.

"Starbucks' new coffee product doesn't taste like coffee (Seattle Business Journal)"
So the reviewer has no clue what coffee is then; and needs to keep their mouth shut.
I love the new drink, and it VERY much tastes like an unroasted coffee drink. Tried Strawberry Lemonade and Orange. Both kick @$$!
New second favourite drink now.
