Every time I bring up this issue of super-slow Starbucks Wi-Fi, the SBUX Kool-Aid Drinkers counter with: You get what you pay for! It's free!
Yes, but if you're going to offer it and promote yourself a place that gives LEGENDARY SERVICE (like Starbucks does), try to do a little bit better than, say, McDonald's -- which has faster Wi-Fi than SBUX.
Here are some recent gripes (and believe me, there are many more on Twitter!):
Starbucks logic: Lets make millions out of customers, but lets give them slow WiFi. #yousneaky

Had a nice, relaxing, productive morning at Starbucks planned but the Wifi was too slow. And they gave me regular coffee instead of decaf :/

slow wifi at @starbucks is the bane of my existence.

Things I learned today: 1. Starbucks wifi is miserably slow. 2. Raleigh is secretly a hipster city.

The free @starbucks wifi is awful and unreliable. Happy Google is stepping in. Next step, come to @StarbucksCanada https://t.co/UQfgw7LrkE

Starbucks wi fi is as good as having no wi fi

Keep the slow Wi-Fi. Do you really think these toads will feel comfortable trying to sell their insurance policies while sitting in McD's with all the rednecks coughing up loogies and squirting ketchup everywhere? They aren't going anywhere!

I agree with Ricardo!
Seriously people!?

These comments are so ridiculous they may as well be outright lies. The wifi at Starbucks is hardly perfect, but it's really not that bad. It's faster and more reliable than at most other coffee shops I go to.

What a bunch of whiners. Sure, SBUX wifi isn't the fastest. But it beats having to pay for it like I do at local coffee shops.

Exactly! Such a relief to see people on here get it.
"Free wi-fi" means you don't get to complain about the quality.

They can and should complain. Wifi is included in prices. No such thing as a free lunch.

I won't complain. I will just take my business elsewhere.
