Rafat Ali writes after visiting the recently opened (March, 2013) Starbucks store in New Dehli: "For someone used the the skeezy and icky New York Starbucks stores, the cleanliness of this is astounding, to say the least. One of the photos I couldn’t take was of the the restrooms, where there was a male and female attendant each, akin to what you would see in upscale hotels."
Check out his 23 photos here.
I went to there in 2007 and sent my DM a postcard saying, "When are we going to get an SBUX in India?"
I guess 2013 was the answer.

Are other Baristas as frustrated and fed up with the new requirement to punch in and out on the POS screen? It is soooo slow and user unfriendly!! Who came up with this idea? Our manager insists that we only use this system and not the easier one on the office computer. It takes so much longer to get it right. Is that your experience too?

The bathroom attendant is only possible because of the low wages in India. We could never afford to pay someone to stand in a bathroom on Starbucks prices and margins in the States. Also, if this store were stateside it would need an elevator at least to meet ADA standards. That is unless I missed something.

Retired, no - because that's just your store and your SM. we can use either front pos or BoH pc to clock in and out. My sm doesn't care.
